Electric Heater/Cooler
Why does the electric heater and cooler need a pal to heat or cool them?

Because... of... reasons! :steamhappy:

They are for egg hatching, so there is an associated cost to hatching. (reducing the timer)

It's like a battery bank. It needs the pals to charge it with the element that it then stores for use

There is one of them reasons!

It really makes no sense. With it literally being called 'Electric' heater, I thought I could set this thing down, then the power generator would provide power without needing to have a pal assigned. Something literally called Electric Heater shouldn't operate the exact same way as a campfire. It doesn't use any electricity at all, and still requires constant supervision from a pal.

i haven't made it to endgame but i would think that the power generator would eliminate the need for dedicated pals at endgame workstations. i thought i saw a furnace that was electric....

yeah, just like the normal heater it's not terribly useful, just make a small room full of campfires and you get the same benefits without needing a pal assigned.

I set my egg timer to 0 ... too many eggs ... too little time ... and I am not getting any younger.

I have the Jortimier Ignius (probably mispelled) with artisan and serious. He doesn't stop breathing on it. It is kinda useless, even for hatching eggs. With it saying in the description that it uses electricity to heat up the area..... seems pointless? and it doesn't even get the frozen eggs warm enough in the mountains and inside a building. It still says too cold.

Oh was hoping it'd be the option that let me could put it down without Pals standing on top of it and dying, or following it into places I don't want them in. Guess I'll skip it.

yeah, i destroyed all my heaters and went back to campfires, if you have heaters anything with the kindling skill will ignore cooking/ingot processing/etc and just use the heater all day, it seems to be the priority, but they don't really help much more than just putting a few basically free campfires down.
When there's a pal on it, it makes my eggs too hot versus the campfire leaving them too cold. It seems to bump temps by +2.

Yes, that's why it's good for scorching eggs that want 2 steps worth of heat. Maybe you can moderate it by putting the incubators a bit further away from the electric heater? I haven't tested that yet.

I guess it works best if you just use it with a fire pal in your team, maybe with a heater in a room with a locked door, i didn´t test it, so maybe the other fire types camp the locked door until you open it (if they are small enough).

The heaters don't work. I tried this in a stone room, in a cold area, and the egg never changed from being cold. Even with an electric heater running in the room. They just don't work. Or if they do work they are too weak to matter or be worth it.

Maybe they are bugged, but this needs serious work.
We shouldn't also have to have a dedicated fire pal to constantly breath on an electric heater. Sure getting the initial flame makes sense. But as long as you have power that should be it. You already have to have an electric pal getting you energy.
