Food spoiling too quick
Yes I know you can sort the inventory and reset the timer but once this bug gets patched out keeping a large supply of food is going to be pretty tough.

Only 1 of the food in the stack will spoil so out of say 500 it won't matter.

You can craft a cooler box ant level 13 and assign a frost pal to cool it which prolongs food much longer.

Honestly 2 berry farms, 1 chicken, 1 cow and 1 wheat farm = a huge abundance of food, and being they're also producing they easily exceed spoilage which only effects 1 in the stack at a time. So 1 berry spoiling with a stack of 1,400+ it will last almost forever.

When compared to say ARK when Meat stacked to 50 max so say you want 1,400 meat stockpiled 28 stacks so the spoiler timer is multiplied by 28x, so 28x the food spoiling at once.

So currently right now I say as long as the food is stored in bulk in specific containers and not spread out, spoilage in this game is actually not that bad. Currently I've not seen stack limits so unlike ARK or Conan Exiles I've not even noticed spoilage as a problem yet... key word "YET."

I can see this being an issues if they add a spoiled version but even then the chest are large enough so it won't matter.

If only the Pal actually performed it's task though. Most of the time it doesn't, at least for me.

For berries have handiwork, water, gathering there you will have soo much you won't know what to do with them.

Leave the pals to farm food, put cooked food in the coolers.

I'd suggest having 2 berry farms and a few pals that produce food like chicken/cows, for egg/milk or a mix. You will have no shortage of food negating any real spoilage issues. I have 150 fried eggs for example, and the berries alone keep my pals fed and it's up to 1500 stack right now... and growing. Though my base still has levels to go so.. I'm not maxed out on pals in the base... but... I have such an abundance of food production with 2 berry farms, 1 wheat, 1 chicken, 1 cow.. that food has not been a problem at all... all the wheat goes to making flower which I'm just stockpiling for cooking later. lol

Yes, they produce fast enough
But after you go offline your pals just do nothing but starve AND all your food spoils and is gone when you come online the next day.... welcome to a stupid cycle

So artificially increasing the spoil timer until its fixed that pals work atleast the fridge while you are offline is nothing to despise but just fixes the current bug in order to create a better AND INTENTED game experience

So nobody has an idea if theres a line in the INI??

use a chillet or some other ice type that doesn't have many jobs, i notice pengullet almost never cools the fridge because there's always other work for him

The problem is when you go offline. I for example, have a paid server. When I go offline, I can have a cooler full of food, a Pal that cools in the day, and one that cools at night. I sleep, I wake up, go to work, come home, and most of it is gone and spoiled. When no one is around the base, the cooler stops functioning, timers all go back to non cooler times, and it all spoils. I can't just turn the server off, as I have friends that play, and all of us have different schedules and times we can play. So for now, until we get an ini option to mess with spoil time, or coolers are made to work even when no one is near base or online, we just all have to deal with spoilage.

You're golden if you manage to snag a Jolthog Cryst, since they swap out Electricity Generation for Cooling

If you leave it to do it automatically, yes, but if you pick up a Pengullet and throw it at the cooler box/fridge, it will focus on it to the exclusion of any other tasks. At least until the pathing screws up and it decides it can't work there anymore...

Hi, when the food is in the pal feeder, target the food and press down on the right stick and it will reset the food timer. Hope this helps.
