CodeWeavers makes a version of WINE for mac (the core tool of proton that we use on linux to play windows software), it even includes the arm->x86_64 emulator you'd need on a M1/M2. https://www.codeweavers.com/crossover

Unfortunately due to apple being openly hostile to developers and forcing the use of their proprietary "Metal" api (not allowing opengl or vulkan on the newer M1/M2 based systems) you're very unlikely to see any mac builds of games from anyone who isn't primarily a mac developer anymore, as it takes a LOT of work to maintain.

I just don’t feel paying for another thing just to play, it’s so expensive😭

Prob not gonna happen, do what you need to do and toss that Mac in the garbage where it belongs and just get a windows pc, your life will be easier if you do. Plus you can fully upgrade it and basically everything is made to run on windows these days. There is basically NO reason for Mac's to even exist in todays market TBH.

Can you stream it with Xbox cloud gaming and game pass?

Well, you can use WINE for free, it's not as click-and-play as using crossover but it's effectively the exact same software (crossover is made by the core WINE team but it's more of just their "support" version with a UI to help set things up), BUT if you're on M1/M2 since those are arm you'll need to have an emulator as pretty much all games, including mac games, on steam are x86_64.

You could also use Virtualbox and install windows on it (microsoft's dev site has virtualbox images with windows 11 on a 90 day license to use for free), and play under that, but that will be a much bigger performance hit than WINE.
