It's best to search it at night since Lifmunk Effigy can be seen from miles away.

some are well hidden and i dont wanna tab around between windows its annoying
would make it a noise that gets louder to closer you get with directions and stuff to make it a lil minigame :3

There are more than you need in the current map just fly around and they stick out as other have said at night.

As a side note, there are more effegies than you need to max out your catching rate.

But in the current map there are plenty so even if they do add more levels there will always be enough. I have level without exploring the full map or using the interactive map by taking a flying Pal around.

You already have the best compass in the game, they're called your eyes. Just wait until night time, jump on your flying mount of choice and go chasing after those lights.
