It does increase the damage pet skills do to ore. I still need to breed some offensive passives onto an astegon and level him up to 40+ but it looks possible to 1-2 shot ores fill up and tp home for quick trips without having to repair your pickaxe.
Use their lower CT skills and Teach the pal lower CT Skills with skill fruits and moderate Damage rates. Long CT may do high damage, but you'll be faster mining with pick/Lilys Spear/sword.
Mammorest has a similar trait with the saddle.
true, i haven't tried yet was going to just breed a swift/runner/musclehead and give him all the fruits then see how it shakes out. Do all elements do the same dmg to ores as pure dmg? might save me some headache if anyone knows. Some skills like tri lightning may have a cooldown but if you can full clear a node the north east desert may be prime for ore / coal and out. Dense ore nodes 8-9 nodes aoe skills may be better.
