How to defeat the 1st Boss?

I'm at day 26, player lvl 15, base lvl 10. When should I expect to defeat the 1st Boss reasonably?

The guy has 30K HP. Crossbow hits ~300 in head. It's 100 arrows at best. But the problem is that I'm not able to survive for that long.

I believe I can only summon 1 pal at a time, right? And can't have more than 5 with me. So they don't stay for long there too.

Any advice?

UPDATE: Killed in 5 minutes.

I figured my main problem in previous fights. You have pal commands/emotions (button 4). If you said once "don't attackl" - they will never do it again. Once I commanded to start the fighting it became much more easier.

I didn't mean anything like that. It stuck once for a while and I was able to deal more than 50% damage, but that's not a solution.

Treat it like a Dark Souls boss, use CTLR to dodge the boss attack's, like the laser attack for example, and spam roll to keep a distance, cycle through your pals to keep it occupied while you shoot at it.

Sure I did. But I can't dodge everything.

Get 3 daedream. It will help your dps. For first boss get that rushboar and just spam your arrow at him. The other bosses however is different story, one of them just 1 shotted me. So get those hp upgrade otherwise you will be playing sekiro.

The Alpha Chillet is pretty good, Daedreams are good because you can make an item that makes it so they can fight for you without being your active Pal. You can beat Grizzlebolt with a crossbow with good dodging and knowing when to recall your pals to bring out another one while the one you just recalled heals. If you are struggling more catch random pals and complete the catch 10 of X for lots of XP. Also having a Vixy or two in your ranch is an absolute must especially for early game I'm finding. I won't lie I do wish the towers were a little more clear on what level you should be before taking them on.

You can summon all of them one at a time by switching the order using either 1,3 or the triggers on your controller. Just keep rotating the pals.

It takes a few tries to familiarize with the boss's attack patterns, if you looking to increase DPS, try the three shot bow, that was the weapon I used when I first beat it.

3-shot bow I believe has worse damage than the crossbow.

Level 30? May be I'll try that.

Looks like I need to experiment with my pal team then, trying to increase my damage. It depends how their bonuses actually work. May be if I get +50% damage bonus I start dealing not 450, but much more? Will see.

My Cattiva pounded him with punches while i just ran and hid. You can tank 1 hit with a shield even if you have no armour. Hide behind a pillar and you only have to dodge the one lightning attack. If he looks at you run.

I swapped between cattiva and Lifmunk and just let them do the fighting.

Grizzbolt only aggrod on me for 1 attack before going back so all i had to do was make sure my shield was full hp. I'd run around and make sure he was in line of fire.

Guns are a huge game changer is taking down Pals, they seem to all have a weakness towards it like meeting some arch rival. XD Speaking of, I would suggest doing type battles, the first Buzzy boss is weak to ground moves, so get a Pal with that type and use Skill fruits on the little bugger so you can test the ground moves you like best and take it from there! If you are dying from the boss, look at upgrading your shield, and maybe use more Tanky type pals rather than pure damage. You can also fast swap your pals! Don't let one die, swap it back in let it heal while another one is out and keep rotating and by the time you get back to your main, it's likely to be healed up!

I used my deer and spam rammed him while also using the elemental advantage of rock blast on him for extra crit. That along with my poison arrows did the trick.

i beat it at same levels with just an old bow and a triple bow. didn't need to glitch behind the pillar. took me 2 chances with diving, rolling and running but its doable.
