Disappearing items?

My spear randomly disappeared, I've checked all my containers and I didn't accidentally store it anywhere or drop it. My fiance has made 2 handguns and both of them have also disappeared. One thing I noticed for all 3 of these scenarios is that we both had them in our 1st equipment slot.

Anyone else ran into this issue?

yes this seems to be an issue. no idea whats happening.

i've had many many items disappear despite not spending them on anything.

i've had pal souls disappear, strange flowers, kattress hair, glumoss leaves, etc... all disappear.

all my items were stored in chests tho

Sometimes your transport pals will drop them in random locations. I still don't get why they do this.

I had a rare crossbow randomly disappear from my inventory, so can confirm that something weird is going on.

Just went looking for my T3 meds I've been saving for a while just to find they're all gone. I had over 30. I know they didn't get used

I've also encountered this. I think it's more likely to happen when you fast travel. I once had 10 megaspheres in my pocket (inventory), fast traveled to my base to store them, and they were gone. I was sad, but whatever, it's EA.

Inversely, I've actually had the opposite happen a few times. I was in my base, nothing in my pockets, I afk'd for like 5 minutes to get food. Came back, and suddenly had a poison gland. I'm playing solo, so it wasn't another player. It was weird, but hey, free poison gland.

In your settings, do you have deterioration set to zero? I wonder if some items deteriorate. I just switched it off mine because I was really enjoying building outposts only to come back now to see a pile of wood - lol.

I wonder if disabling building degradation also disables environment degradation entirely or if it as well has an effect on item degradation.

Had some legendary weapons disappear mid-battle last night; found out if anyone else is using grenades, the slot they equip it to, if they use one it depletes everyone’s slot of that amount. So slot one? Everyone loses 1, so if that’s your legendary gun it’s gone.

me and my friend lost a shotgun and me a pickaxe. how it happens? i guess because i wanted try out my new crafted 70 flame grenades. i share them to 35 each and we go to a spot throw them. after return us pickaxe and shotgun was gone. i guess it have some to do with this grenades eventuell.

My friend and I both lost epic rifles while using grenades in a fight with the paladins in the desert.

I have accidentally disassembled a chest 3 times, and each time a random item stack from that chest completely disappeared from the game. So far, I lost all my wood, stone, and small pal souls.
