Pal Gender Changes

Aight so at first I thought I was crazy, then after about the 5th time of pulling out a Pal that I was CERTAIN was Male/Female and then it was the opposite, I'm pretttty sure the game likes to randomly swap the Genders of my Pals.

I particularly make sure that I have their names to be more Male or Female respectively so once or twice...sure maybe I overlooked something, but 5+ times...getting a bit suss xD

Just to be clear, this has nothing to do with gender (pals don't have genders), but sex.

IDK some bugs are super strange, like Enshrouded had a bug where mining caused the player damage but cutting a tree with an ax healed them. So I doubt this being impossible.

Can confirm gender changed happen, got 1 egg and ended up with 2 females in breeding pen, which is not possible to do intentionally, AFAIK.

For the people this happened to, can you check if your pal leveled up between when its sex changed?

It is almost as if the devs know what parthenogenesis and sequential hermaphroditism are.

Naw... they clearly don't read or even watch nature documentaries. Pshaw.

I mean, the whole game isn't a collection of gags, poop-posts, and unsubtle jabs at other games, the game industry, tabloid journaiism, religious zealotry, extremism, and anything else the dev team throws against a wall to see what sticks. Nope. Nothing of the sort.
