Butchering Seems Pointless

This is going to be short:

I really don't see a point in using the Meat Cleaver except for 'the memes', especially as many steps as you have to go through to actually use it, being have the Pal in your party, interact with it, butcher, and you basically get what you would get for catching/ko-ing it normally.

Between Selling Pals that you don't need and/or using the Pal Essence Condenser, there are plenty of ways to utilize pals. Butchering might be an edge case in dire need type thing but I don't feel that by the time you even unlock it you even need to use it anymore.

I used it a couple times and yea... considering it takes 116 pals to upgrade a single one to lvl 5.. it's better to just use them for that. Now if the drop rate was tripled from butchering it might be worth it then.

You can double up when organ farming you get the organs from catching them then the organs for butchering them also if you want to make the best food you will get double meat when catching and butchering whatever it is you want. Kinda niche but has a small purpose maybe add a motivation level that increases if your other pals see you sacrifice 1 not personally something i want but i have seen some interesting people on this game.

You get drops from capturing and then again from butchering, it would be better if we could mass butcher mobs in some sort of "butchering facility" so that I could get lots of Chikipi meat for my pals to work fast and happy

Butchering effectively doubles the amount of materials a Pal gives, since you get them once when capturing, and again while Butchering. That said, I've never actually Butchered any Pals because it's typically easier to just catch them en mass with the Pal Sphere Shotgun.

I find it more useful if I’m farming a specific material, you go to the area with only 1 pal so your party is empty and every time you capture what you need you butcher instantly out in the field for double rewards

wen u need pal materials, u can catch em to get some, then butcher to get more.

thats a pretty good reason for it to exist to me.

Imo I think butchering should give you a small stack of meat or something. That's why people butcher animals in real life, and it would be a nice way of obtaining lots of meat without running around and battling everything you encounter.

that's a good point also weird you get body parts while they're still alive but ehh

My hope is that we get a butcher station that lets you queue up pals for the slaughter so you don't have to do it one at a time.

that is the only reason to butcher (unless you want to do a nuzlock). when farming for legendary items this is the best way for a second chance at the item and yes it does work.
