Pals with Medicine and Cooling?

I went to bed last night and returned to my server to find all my pals starving, major injuries, and weakened/depressed. I spent a while farming horns but crafting the medicine is taking a long time. I tried putting Lovander on the medicine bench but it said she needs Cooling. I tried Penking and it said he needs Medicine. Are there any early pals I can get that have both needed skills to craft medicine?

You shouldn't need a Cooling Pal to operate the medicine table? At least, not so far as I'm aware, but I dunno, never really use it.
As for the query of Pals with Cooling and Medicine, none spring to mind offhand. Not sure there is one, but then I don't know every single Pal inside and out yet.

Not sure why you'd need both at the same time, as there is only a single pal in the game with both: Sibelyx, found on the icy continent to the north.

The error message I got trying to put pals on there was "doesnt have cooling." The game's telling me it needs both

Sometimes when it fails to assign a pal it says something about cooling so it may be that bug. I don't see why you'd need cooling to assign to medicine bench. if you look at the bench it should say exactly what is needed hovering over it. I had it say I needed cooling to put a pal on the breeding ranch which makes no sense. I just destroyed and rebuilt it and it worked fine.

Regardless, I have never even been able to use medicine because any pal I have that gets injured just gets better on its own before I can even get the meds out of my storage. Just put the pal in the box or drop it out and back in and it will sort itself out. Have yet to use a single med yet at level 40

Do you have a refrigerator next to it and are accidentally assigning the Pal to that because hitboxes and pathing are garbage in this game?

From the angle I was doing the cooling box was 180 degrees behind me and the distance of about 3 wall lengths

My pals only ever developed that when I first started playing and didn't have hot tubs/enough beds and stuff, they never get that stuff if they have enough beds and 1 small hot tub per every 6-7 pals or 1 large hot spring for the entire base.

I do know that high-quality meds can cure depression so it might be worth trying to find/make those, also I would just try putting the pal in the box for some time as all conditions seem to go away on their own for me if I do that.

I have 2 hot tubs and 11 beds for 11 pals. It's just that bug where if you're offline their hunger goes down but they cant feed themselves. Either because stuff's unrendered or their AI is turned off

I destroyed and rebuilt the table and it worked! I've been spending the last 2 hours just trying to farm and craft to mitigate the damage so hopefully this'll make it not take another 2
