Lost Some of My Save Data
I logged in this morning to get told to switch to choose either local save file or cloud save file. I didnt know what it meant, so I just picked cloud save. Now I'm missing 6 levels, no heavy amount of pals from what I captured (including ANUBIS and LYLEEN), missing base levels, no ranch, no breeding farm. Anyone know how to switch back to local save?

Check your backup and try going back to a time before the current. It's in users local under pal.

Right click on Palworld > General > Click the cloud save toggle.

And that's why you pay attention to the details of each save file, picking the newest one. Which, is usually the local save.
Anytime there's a discrepancy between the two saves, it's likely due to a synch error. Meaning the cloud save didn't synch with the local save, making the cloud save older.

i dont wanna reply to 3 messages, so im just reply to all in one. One, i dont have a backup. Two, I tried that, didnt do anything. And three, both save files were listed as updated at the same time from my one glance at it. which isnt really reliable, buts thats what i saw. I also never open a steam cloud not syncing game until it syncs.

cloudsave is great at making people lose their save files ever since it was introduced since the dawn of time. unless ur planning to keep this file on multiple PC's id just disable it completely

just take the files from World backup and/or local backup (just pick the folder that was made the latest) and overwrite the files before the backup folder. u might want to copy the whole folder elsewhere in case you mess up first
