Attack stat is NOT worth it?
Attack stat seems to be worthless for attacking.
We start off with 100 attack and a level up makes it 102. Whats the point when my crossbow has an attack of 350 and the musket puts me at 1000?
All the other stats produce a nice noticeable increase in the beginning, so increasing your stamina from 100 to 110 is a 10% increase. HP increase from 500 to 600 is a 20% increase. The attack stat increases should be similarly meaningful.

The player attack stat is a percent, meaning you are doing 100% with no levels in it. I have tested it with a level 5 passive skill on ragnahawk which gives an additional 100% to player while mounted. It's probably still not worth it to manually add any points into it.

So far everyone I have seen that say that attack is bad is low or mid level, I haven't seen any high level say it is bad (although people usually doesn't say what level they are / that they beat the end game bosses etc but they usually say things that say they are level 35-)

You don't really need unless you were doing a challenge of attack only and beating up all the pals yourself.

I've been playing on hard mode and I feel like a bystander watching super heroes fight.

Take look at the Pal's Partner Skills. When you upgrade the pals stars to the highest level, you will see the big difference in how much damage you can do. The first few levels don;t seem like much, but these things stack.

Look at Sweepa and Swee Partner Skills. When you max the stars and then stack them you will notice how godly you can make these things.

Now look at Gobfin's Partner Skill. These things can probably stack too.

They stack, I have 515% attack at lvl 50 with a legendary shotgun. I deal so much damage it is insane, I can kill a dungeon boss in a few hits. My pals which have +105% attack is not even close to my damage.
The cap of attack should be around 700-800%.

It is possible to respec but I think it still is bugged so you lose upgrades on statue for catch rate and maybe some other thing. It is from lvl 43 Electric Medicine Workbench.
There is also a mod that allow you to respec (but it is also bugged, I heard it is bothersome to install and it gives you 1 more attribute point than you are supposed to have).

Some of the starter Pals seem like they will be OP later on.

Sparkit, Rooby, Hoocrates, Bristla, Gobfin, Ribbuny, Dumud and Kelpsea all enhance a damage type of some kind. Just think of how much damage increase a Pal could have when stacking these. I'm pretty sure you can probably combine them will Pals who actually add that element to your attacks too.

Beeguard and Elzibee looks similar to Sweepa and Swee bonuses too. Looks strong. I really hate when they try and kill me with kamikaze attacks though.

This is what I did, Beakon + 4 Sparkit. I got to 105 or maybe 115% (forgot which) attack and it is great but still less than what I can do with firearms.
After a while I switched to 4 Gobfin because then I got even higher damage since I was already out dpsing my Beakon when I had 4 Sparkit.

I feel that I know much more than all of you has spot on yet. Did you guys know there is an elixir I forgot the name, that resets your stats so when you reach a high level, you no longer need more carry weight or work speed ect. So, you could just put them in more in attack, stamina, and HP. On top of them there is a ring and a pendent that gives a multiplier to your stats. Sadly you cant make any of them, but it was meant for only your pals to do the dirty work, not for the player in the early stage of the game.

Work speed is very muich the most useless stat, sure, but how do you go around carry weight if you could explain.

Thats a very good question. I really dont. In fact I have one base mining metal, pals mine it, place it in boxes, and craft the mats and take what I need to my main base. 3rd base is the same for a camp for a day, do the same and take what I need. No heavy lifting what so ever

For a good reason and that's because it's bad at early/mid game. The 2% gains will not help you as much as 1 point of workspeed would, but that doesn't have to be true to every player and likely will be less true as balancing comes into play.

When it actually becomes viable is late game when you can reset and damage is big. Peak strat on Conan and it worked here too. If you care, you can reclaim your weight points through pals like Cativa and Lunaris as their bonuses will increase your carrying capacity and by this point your pals should have big production bonuses through the anubis statue.

And finally, the biggest hurdle of this is the current glitch where resetting your points resets all your lifmunk effigies so that's kinda stinky. Here[gameriv.com] is an article about respecing. The warning is on the bottom.

Yep, so "Knowing much more than y'all" really means different playstyle you keep moving the third base everytime you need to collect anything aside from ore? Each to their own, but for me, it really seems simpler to just invest into carry weight than moving so much, especially when the types of materials exceed number of bases and they are not even always in build-friendly locations.

Not even arguing, i see how it works, just expected something crazy I missed, considering how strong you started with that statement of not needed in late-game, haha.
