Locked out of guild?
Friend stopped playing on MY own server. He was the owner of the guild so I left the guild and even turned off multiplayer, now I cannot use anything in the base lol even in single player I cannot use anything. Not sure what the devs were thinking.. Anything I can do to get around this?

Sounds like you left the guild - nothing there was yours. It belonged to the guild

What a dumb response. Everything was mine my friend stopped playing after 2 hours but I kept playing for 10 more hours lol

I fixed this issue by using the back up saves in my files in case anyone has this overlooked problem

That's not a dumb response... you are the dumb one here. If you join a guild and build stuff everything is for the guild. That's how it works in ALL games. If you leave the guild everything stays towards the guild... now if the Guild Disbanded that's a different story. You should have just told your friend to log in and leave the guild. Problem solved.

They gave you a legitimate response, your aggression is unwarranted.

If you feel guilds should auto disband or not be allowed at all in single player, feel free to suggest it on the discord server.

bro.. there are ZERO games.. where you can leave a clan/guild and then have access to the stuff still.. lol.. this your first time playing a video game?

You said it yourself at starting post that you left the guild..
you could even be the guild master, if you left it, the base wont belong to you anymore. Its basic gaming logic.

Not to the topic, but why did you even leave the guild? Not like you can do less or more by being a guild leader or not.

Well originally I invited my friend to the guild by holding E/F or whatever it was but somehow I ended up in his guild so that's a bug or by doing that I joined it, I have no idea.

The first guy who commented was clueless and provided no help to the issue, you cannot tell me that's a real response dude didn't even read what I wrote, there was no "guild" I was the only player out of two people it was 100% my base. You also cannot say that when reverted to single player it should keep the online restrictions. That's simply a overlooked issue and you could add on it shouldn't take 17 hours for a egg too hatch in single player.

Its easy if you don't know the answer don't respond. How does "you shouldn't of left it" help anyone? Typical people who use steam discussions who have nothing else to do. Have fun bozos

You're in a guild by default, even in SP. If someone was to join you (Like you turned on MP) it would say "Unamed guild." You left the guild but your friend was still in it, so it wasn't disbanded. So the property remained your friend's.

As a guild owner that's how you transfer ownership(holding E). If you look as the pop-up it says so. next time just have people come to you and have them join it themselves.

the guild was still there and you left it. regardless the world is still the same in single-player or multiplayer. it would be weird if everything they owned just disappeared because people would do that to troll. The single player restriction doesn't change the world just makes it solo as you can change it back at anytime.

17 hours? Sounds like you have it on hard mode because normal the highest you'll see is about 2 hours. You can change that in the server options

the "shouldnt have left" is valid as you could have just asked your friend to get back on to transfer the ownership as everything was the guild's property.

You must have misread the message that said when you hold E.
It says "request to join guild". Its not an invite but a request to join the other persons guild.
Yes, the other way around would make more sense, but since it does what the message says, its not a bug.

Anyway, the only solution I see for your problem is to edit the save files, so you get to be inside the guild again.
EverTrek1701 Jan 30, 2024 @ 4:13am
start fresh and next time be sure to be the owner of the guild. this is how most games handle guilds.
