Swimming mounts
Anyone else finds them kind of... disregarded? Land mounts eventually deplete their stamina while in deep bodies of water. But flying mounts can hover over water no matter their stamina gauge. Which I find odd to say the least.

On a side note, Palworld lacks in swimming mount variety. On top of my head there's only Surfent, Azurobe and Jurmuntide in the EA.

They're useful for getting to some of the wildlife reserves unless you get lucky enough for a very fast flying mount. Quivern has high stamina, but isn't fast enough to make it to 2 of the reserves, for example. Can only make it when paired with a glider.

That's a great idea actually. I could also see crafting scuba wetsuits and exploring underwater dungeons be something many players would enjoy in Palworld. That, and catching unique pals only found while underwater.

Agreed, and it means a whole plethora of new pals to add to the game. Anglerfish pal for example.

I saw the massive tree on the horizon but it seemed too good to be true. My Nitewing had gotten knocked out by that point and I didn't want to risk trying to swim toward it yet. Does it not let you get there?
Flying mounts just 'hover' on top of the water at no stam cost. I thought they'd sink myself but they don't. Go to the shore and see for yourself.

I have heard that the World Tree is currently blocked off though.

from what we can tell- its the 'end' region, once you've beaten all the towers, the first invisible wall around it is taken down... but currently there's a second one a bit closer to it that doesn't, that says its likely a WIP area, which is to be expected as this is a surprisingly well put together Early Access game.

'_' you do know flying mounts can land on water, right?

A boundary gets removed after beating the towers? Very interesting.

That definitely implies we'll be able to go there at some point. I wonder what the other areas will be like.

Flying pals need a nerf, that's for sure. Flying high up and dropping to the ground without fall damage and the permanent hovering over water really needs to go.

Second this. As much as I love flying around, there's absolutely 0 consequences to running out of stamina with flying mounts. It makes the most basic flying mount significantly better than any other mount.

Then why did I drown when that happened?

There is a barrier that prevents you from moving in there. To anyone wanting to test it don't. You'll waste your time. Not like that's going to stop anyone curious enough to go to it.

azurobe, the fastest swimming mount has 600 base and 800 sprint, so 800 in water
quivern has that as a base, and essentially all but the bottom 2-3 flying mounts will out sprint her too, like hellzephyr will cover more ground sprinting even if you stop to restore stamina
there is zero reason to use swimming mounts for travel
