fun fact the pvp in thsi game won't be like ark so sorry you're stuck like this forever.
Well then the game will die on official server pretty fast, and only community servers will be up and so on..
I mean just imagine the amount of anger people will get when they over and over wanna catch a pal and someone come's stealing...
As long as the pvp is not like ark, but the way to just go in between a battle and steal another player's pal-capture target that is not even in your guild
there is nothing you as a player can do to stop said person.. That is just sad and boring...
It kills the mood if it happens every so often. I know there are dungeons etc, but open world part if you can't either capture ♥♥♥♥ in either peace or at least fight back against someone trying to steal your target... you will end up leaving said world sooner or later mostly sooner because there are better ways to spend your time than having some people ♥♥♥♥ up your play, with no way for you to defend yourself with...
Only a small % of players would do something like this, and and even then, it'd be a mild annoyance at worst. All bosses respawn.
A very simple solution to this is like how WoW handled loot drops, when another player attacks a mob, that mob is assigned to that players ID or the group of players if we ever get real party group mechanics so a shared ID can be used.
This disallows other players from being able to interact with those mobs for a set number of time. However this can also be used to grief other players by simply attacking all mobs to prevent them from being able to do anything.
This would ensure players can't just ninja-grief/steal from other players.
randomized worlds would likely also help with this as it becomes impossible to know every perfect location to establish a base as well as griefing the environment to wall other players from being able to access them.
Sorta like how Conan Exiles, guilds will wall off static locations of rich ore deposits, cutting them off from other players and eliminating the competition aspect.
You can CURRENTLY poach other players pals that are working if they're starving. There are pal spheres already made that are designed to steal your pals, although these aren't in-game atm
And do you honestly think in PVP you could do anything about a guild coming to pick you off while you're alone? They'll steal it when it's low HP (presumably) or mug you of everything you have anyways with overwhelming numbers.
Play Rust, Conan, Ark, people will abuse mechanics you aren't even aware of if it means they can lord a false sense of power over you. I love some casual PvP, but unfortunately this is the way these games always devolve.
So kinda like... ♥♥♥♥ official servers lol. I hope they implement PvE-C or something.
