The ONLY reason people are making this fuss (I know the game you are referring too) is because Palword does was Pokemon can't and be fun.
If it wasn't so popular noone would say anything.
Many of the same processes are there.
We have discussed why that is not the case. But I also still agree that its highly unlikely anything will happen.
What better way than to investigate and then say "We found the game to contain zero Pokemon assets or similar material" An official "This game is legit" statement.
Thus doing the OPPOSITE of what those fans wanted.
They wanted the game to DIE, but if nintendo does this instead....
Yeah just waiting for those reactions is fun xD
Worst that might happen is designs being changed, however...
Given this game is going to have full mod support in the future, modders will just add them back.
If they sued Palworld, it means they found some actual evidence that links the models to their game. Thus far however, despite people suggesting the models are sus, we know the models 100% are actually different and there's no evidence to suggest they are modified Pokemon models.
They're never suing for the designs being too close, because Nintendo is aware of how copyright works. Not only can Palworld afford to legally defend against those claims, Nintendo will get ultra countersued and will just bleed money over that.
What is a tendie?
I think people care, this was even on CNN

Its still important for me to say, that its not likely anything happens, but its all the rave atm.
Temtem not being similair, I dont think you played it, nor seen it.
Everything is 'clone' of pokemon.
Gameplay, Artstyle, Gymbattles, Badges, TBC. TMs etc. They litterally have an evil faction. Even a rival... lol
Litterally EVERYTHING, but one thing is different, the creatures look more distinct.
This isnt pokemon with guns. This is ark with artstyle similair to pokemon.
Derivative works are a fact of life. Without them, 99% of the T.V. shows, movies, video games, books, paintings, and all other matters of art, would not exist. Art inspires other art. Imitation is the highest form of flattery.
If Nintendo/Game Freak was to sue Pocketpair, Pocketpair could just use the defense of:
"Well Pokemon is a derivative work of Dragon Quest, and both are allowed to exist. So why not us?"
And the case would be thrown out. Nintendo will never sue Pocketpair because of that. 3rd party modders, that try to make, and sell a 'full overhaul mod' to turn Palworld into a Pokemon lookalike, yes; But Pocketpair themselves, no.
I don´t think any of the animals look similar to Pokemon and I don´t think the artstyle does either. The gameplay however does. But the gameplay can´t be copyrighted, nobody holds the copyright for "animal tamer" etc.
If we had 99% of all thinks today would not exist.
Palworlds animals does have similar art vibe to Pokemon and a few does make me think Pokemon right away.. but as I said, I don´t think anything will happen, becuase they are not that similar still.. the two that are, could at worst be booted from the game and replaced with another design.
The only way that PP gets in trouble, is if they took assets (no proof of that)
And alot of stuff thrown out by this boyfrogs person was debunked anyway.
And there's such things as patents (This is why we dont see Shadow of mordor/war) nemesis system in other games.
You're here farming jesters but you have no idea what you're talking about if you're gonna say that less then 90% is different in temtem because that's just false.
This game isnt pokemon. Artstyles simply cannot be copyrighted. PP aint gonna get in trouble and we wish you guys would stop spamming the forums so people can actually talk about the game.
My points with Temtem still stands.
