It looks like Nvidia/Windows force updated my "rolled back driver".
When I checked the Device Manager, the Driver showed in the status box: Windows had stopped the device (Code 43).
A clean install of the driver did work for me & I am back to playing again for now.
------------------------------------
Nvidia GT 740, Windows 10-64bit,
*Working driver** (NVIDIA.com, Drivers, Click Legacy driver lookup, listed below in green- not the default install driver showing at top of page.)
A list of all the drivers & updates for your card will show at the bottom.
You are looking for the FULL, Game Ready driver 472.12.
(Note: The other 8 listed above it are only Security Updates)
-Make sure when you click to install the driver, choose Custom Install & on second page, check the box for a clean install.
Hope this Fix works for you.
