D3D11 compatability issue?
I put in about 40 hours of gameplay in so I would appreciate if there are any fixes to this issue. I updated my computer yesterday and all of a sudden I'm not able to play anymore. Every time I try to load up I get a message that "I need D3D11 GPU to run the engine." Any recommendations?

You said you updated your computer. Was it a driver update? Windows update?

ran into this problem today for the first time. Ive had frequent crashes on autosaves due to memory dump issues probably because im playing on a gtx970. today i check device manager and the gpu had been disabled after the memory crash so i had to restart.

I had the same error today, 18 hours of game play in.
It looks like Nvidia/Windows force updated my "rolled back driver".
When I checked the Device Manager, the Driver showed in the status box: Windows had stopped the device (Code 43).
A clean install of the driver did work for me & I am back to playing again for now.

Nvidia GT 740, Windows 10-64bit,
*Working driver** (NVIDIA.com, Drivers, Click Legacy driver lookup, listed below in green- not the default install driver showing at top of page.)
A list of all the drivers & updates for your card will show at the bottom.
You are looking for the FULL, Game Ready driver 472.12.
(Note: The other 8 listed above it are only Security Updates)
-Make sure when you click to install the driver, choose Custom Install & on second page, check the box for a clean install.
Hope this Fix works for you.
