wooden defensive walls or stone defensive walls?

it makes more sense to use a denser material like stone for the perimeter , but the wooden walls have more hp. which should i use - wood or stone?

Dont use wood. Fire pals can burn it down quickly, and the flames spread.

if you want your raids to be challenging wood. if you want raids to be easy stone.

wood is flammable and a certain type of raid i just experienced is an absolute nightmare to deal with if you have wooden structures.

Wooden stuff catches fire and seemingly can't be put out even by Pals. I had my entire house and multiple chest burn down cause one raid had some explodey Pals and two walls caught fire and it spread like crazy. Water Pals couldn't put it out.

defensive wall should be stone then go to metal. the only thing wood should be your home.

While it has less health, stone is still worth using because of the chance of the wooden walls being burnt down. Those raiding your base can set them aflame, so getting rid of that chance is more beneficial to you.

so if fire is the only reason to not use them and raids only happen when the base is inhabited then wouldn't it make more sense to just tear down a section of the wooden structure before it spreads?

May I say for the record, I'm not against the wooden walls catching on fire, but after the hydro Pals put out the fire, IT SHOULD STAY DAMP AND NOT REIGNITE. Absolutely insane as to how the fire never dies away, especially considering how hydro Pals defeat the fire Pals.

sometimes the walls work - half the time though it seems like the raids are just glitching right through like they're not even there.

Wood walls for your mining outposts, stone and iron for your main base. Wood keeps wondering high level pals away which might be necessary depending on where you place a mining outpost.
