Nvidia 551.23 driver bad performance.

Updated and now my NVIDIA 3080 is running 100% in game. Anyone else seeing this? I turned graphics down to low, went windowed mode, and still choppy frames with GPU at 100% usage. I was running on high full screen no issue yesterday. DLSS remains on performance as well.

I updated drivers yesterday.

try reverting to the previous driver version. some games need older drivers.

I am on the 546.33 drivers and it runs fine steady frame rate and can't say I've notice it ramming my 3080 FE too hard

I just ran benchmark and it is either my card ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the brick or driver 551.23 released 1/24/2024. I'll update thread if reverting back fixes issue.

never have auto update on graphic drivers..... all way's let other players have the issues lol.
only update driver after a few months

The new driver is trash. Reverted back and benchmark is smooth again. Thanks for help

its not the driver its something else causing it. i already posted in another thread but after wiping both the nvidia and game caches, setting the palworld.exe and palworld-win64-shippin.exe in Win10 Graphic settings to max performance and restarting the PC my performance went from 15-30FPS 100%GPU back to 60FPS 70-80%GPU

Problema de pantalla negra: (me sale un cartel que dice que la placa de vídeo tiene un problema con D3D11 y que la actualice a la versión 516.25 (tiene la 425)
Ya probé
Reinstalar la placa de vídeo
Instalar una version anterior de los drivers
Instalar la última versión de la placa de vídeo
Reinstalar el direct
Poner en steam que el juego se renderice con un direct anterior (9,10,11,12)
Ejecutar como admin todos los .exe del juego
Modificar todos los ejecutables para que se ejecuten con compatibilidad Windows 7
Actualizar Windows
PD: desde la página de Nvidia la última versión de drivers para esta placa es la 425 , la 516 es una versión de otras placas
Mi PC:
Windows 10 64 bits
16 gigaa de ram
Intel I 7
Nvidia geoforce gt 740m

I ran benchmark software and it 100% was resolved by rolling my driver back. The benchmark software has nothing to do with palworld.

I understand how it sounds. I had the same problem, I tried many ways and nothing helped. Then I created a new world and it was 144fps. I entered the old world and went to bed, fps became 144

sounds like shadercache building process then
i knew nothing was wrong with the driver itself

Tbf personally I don't see much point in running this game above 60fps, it's not a precision shooter so that level of accuracy is not really required so why stress your gpu as it's not like higher frame rate makes it look any prettier

Edit:
Now I understand that this might be on a game by game basis, I'm not saying all single player games don't benefit form higher frames I just can't say as I have seen higher fps making a massive impact on this one

Okey thank you i am trying that version as i had the last ones and my game was crashing with error out of memory even thou the game is not out of memory, i have 1650 and it used to work flawlessly before the last update.
will try them and provide feedback if that driver version also resolves the bad gpu issues for me too.
