No ALT keybind NO THANKS

First time loading up game I went to controls menu because i prefer to have dodge/roll keybound to alt so I dont have to break my pinky constantly and got an error that this key is disabled.

Cant even bother trying the game out because of this so immediately request a refund I dont care how "great" the game may be this is the most important QOL feature in a game to me

ALT is the superior keybind for quick action slide dodge or roll actions because you can quickly use your thumb even better than shift

I just dont understand how you could not include this as a keybind since its one of the most common

Even satisfactory I refuse to play after the huge update BECAUSE the alt keybind was removed when it was previously in the game, WHY!?

i'm genuinely curious how people press the Alt key.. do you use your thumb... or? it's literally the most unpressable key on the keyboard imo. Ctrl is super comfortable to press with my left pinky. they should definitely support binding ANY key cus everyone has their own preferences, but how on earth do people press the Alt key, seriously?

Use a keyboard remapper to make Alt send Ctrl.

personally more used to shift as it's basically the 'universal' tap to dodge key for me

Yes you use your thumb, it's not the most comfortable thing but it's not difficult and considering you don't usually dodge while jumping in games it works out well.

you are only used to ctrl because its the default in most games but there is no way you have the same reaction time as alt

alt is right next to space where your thumb rests and all you have to do is slide thumb slight over to hit alt whereas ctrl you must life hand up and stretch pinky

Why not bind it to V which is just a slight shift upward from where your thumb is resting on the space bar? I take it you are just venting and not looking for solutions though.

OP, does your mouse have side buttons? Use the profile software to map one to Ctrl.

It might help to actually try placing your hand on your keyboard, spread your fingers out, and just try? Alt is easilly accessible from a thumb, yes, just as ctrl and shift are easily accessible with a pinky.

Pinky hovers over both shift and alt. Even resting on top of both if you're lazy. Not difficult to bring your finger downward by half an inch to press. Same logic as moving the thumb from space to alt. /nicetrytrolling

or do what i did since Alt wasnt usable. i switched dodge and jump. dodge on space is far more useful than jump and i will live with it untill the ALT key is bindable.
