How to level up pals fast?

I'm level 40 or so, but when I use different pals, they're always low level around 20-30, and take forever to level up.
Does anyone have any tips to increase their level fast enough to catch up with my old pals, so I can use them against late game bosses?

Kill other pals around your level. The capture bonus for 10 captures only applies to the player, so there's no point in taking the time to capture them. So, go to a 40 zone(the outermost non-starter regions are your best bet) and get to fighting. Lower level pals receive an experience bonus until they catch up.

They get XP when processing things, I noticed when I had a 2nd camp just for mining, No refinement so they were not gaining XP.

I now process at the 2nd base for XP then transport the Ingots ^_^

I've struggled with this a little, and the best thing I can suggest is to take a team of low level pals and one ace with you to take out either earlier bosses or dungeon bosses/alphas. Anything that drops ancient civ parts gives plenty of XP and if you can down them with one good pal the EXP is shared across your entire active team.

Use a water pal to oneshot sleeping fire monsters at night in the volcano. Everything there is weak to water and the sleeping damage multiplier is really high so good chance you just oneshot em even though they are level 40. Can do the same with fire in an ice area. Suzaku and suzaku aqua work well depending on the area. Refighting tower bosses is good as well.

best way to do level is to capture the first field boss from the start zone. the one right before the first tower.

Pals level faster the higher your level is compared to theirs. Even so, pals that have been with me forever will pretty much never fully catch up with me until I hit level cap.

Fastest way to level up Pals in your team is to hunt for the Boss ones you can find on the map. They get like 15.000 to 30.000 xp from a Boss kill or capture, depending on the level it had.

Dungeon Bosses don't seem to give that much xp.

If you feel leveling is too slow, You can also change your difficulty to custom and increase EXP multiply (and many other things) to your like.

Start > Choose your save file > Change World setting > Custom Difficulty > Custom Setting

Play the game in the way you like.
