Breeding for Traits: Thoughts
Given how long it takes to breed Pals, the high cost, and the low odds of getting what you want. It feels like you shouldn't be playing the lottery with the traits they get.

Instead, I think that when you put an egg in the incubator. You should be able to select from a traits menu option on the incubator that gives the player the option of selecting what traits it is guaranteed to get from the parents. Then leave the remaining slots that are not selected up to chance like the normal breeding results.

So if I put a Felbat egg in the pod, and the parents had Swift, Ferocious, and Brave. Then upon selecting the traits menu I could choose from those traits to fill the four possible trait slots.

Ever try breeding in Monster Rancher? Or heck Pokemon? Both are also high cost (maybe not in resources but TIME) and have very low odds of giving you what you want. Yet some players still find it worthwhile to spend tens or hundreds of hours just to get the creature they want. Really it comes down to this: Are you OCD enough to put in the time to get the creature you are looking for?

I'm giving it a shot as I'm trying to breed a Lucky+Runner+Swift+Nimble Direhowl and I'm going to need ALOT of cake. If anything its not the mechanic that's got me down, its more the fact we can't transfer our Pals to another server that makes it somewhat not worth it

Level 50 *(47) is when i started taking on the bosses ... i spent too much time exploring, building and taming ...

Only Pal I have with that trait is Jetragon and I don't know what I'd have to breed it with to get a DIrehowl with that trait

As a result the average Pokemon player doesn't use the breeding mechanism much if at all.

I would like to avoid this game falling into the same trap of becoming useless because it's just not worth the effort to the average player.

That's mostly because the games current tech tree is very restrictive, so it forces you to focus on farming exp to level as the only real playstyle. It doesn't reward exploring much which is a real shame, since that is an element I enjoy of games like Astroneer, minecraft, and other survival games that don't focus so heavily on the survival aspect.

Haven't seen that trait. What does it do?
P.S.

It took roughly 184 attempts at breeding to get one Pal with the 4 desired traits, starting with two pals of the same species with 1 trait I wanted, the 1x2, then 2x2, then 3x2, 3x3, and 4x3 until I got the traits.

I won't say I was deceived, but these are not the breeding thoughts I came here hoping to find.

Question , do Pal stat fixed and only increase via passive skills or they get randomly distribute stat point ?

Have you ever bred the perfect pal?

Breeding is almost impossible. Just assigning pals at all takes a colossal number of tries because 99% of the time it says no "no cooling suitability". And this is for any task, not just breeding.

And then if you leave the area or if night falls their assignment resets. So I don't even bother.

i got 100% what i want.. it is hard coded what you get ...
anubis(best worker) = Quivern + Chillet

The best place I have found is to build a stone structure on the beach you originally spawned at, and then during the day it's 100% for all common, nature, earth, water, and dark eggs. At night it's 100% for ice eggs, and in the day if fire eggs have 50% unless you place a campfire next to it which bumps it up to 100%

For pals yes, but not for traits.
