the food storage fixes it for you, you place the food in they eat it so as long as that type is there then it's not annoying you aren't micro managing

wolves irl are carnivores and do sometimes eat plant based food but they mostly eat meat so it actually makes sense for them to eat meat vegan dishes can literally do more harm than good for any creature that doesnt naturally eat plants and they provide less nutrition than meat based diets

Once there's some way to automate meat gathering, we can think about differentiating between different pal diets. For now it just isn't feasible to gather large amounts of meat.

Meh one EA two it already has to d a ton of computing all the time in my bases now, if it had to be picky about food not just eat anythign it would be less optimized. As is ark I didn't really care for it. Its not like these are real animials and I got feed them only one thing. Also unlike ark I can't kill an animal and get a giant pile of meat I kill something and I get like 2 pieces of meat sigh.

There are a few specific ones like some eat meat versus berries.
