SECDRV.SYS critical windows error

Starting this thread to see if anyone else has this issue.

After another blue screen windows crash i've got from playing this game (a few every day) i checked the event viewer. Shortly before (whilst playing) it lists;

"The description for Event ID 1060 from source Application Popup cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

\??\C:\WINDOWS\SysWow64\drivers\SECDRV.SYS"

Which the TL:DR is that SecDrv is a copy protection system that was used in games in the early 2000s and causes issues with modern games.

Has anyone else who is getting crashes while playing getting a similar error message?

Never seen that before maybe yo got a corrupted driver installd ive had it happen a few times for other games but not this one.

Interesting, i did update the driver last week. wonder if any non gpu driver could cause this.
