pal balls % catch rate seems very low

I'm level 32 been getting the effigy's upgrading when I can, using a Giga ball, and on a level 27 at 10% I have a 4% chance to catch, I tried stunning the pal and still not able to get a good %,its been a fun game but Feels like i'm wasting time making Giga balls and having to throw 50 at one pal is crazy. and get a glitch when I stun, throw a ball point blank is passes right threw the pal..good game bit grindy mid game, but this catching pals thing driving me crazy spending all this time getting effigy's and better balls the grind to make the balls for a 4% chance....wat

I just installed a mod to increase the chance a little, extremely boring spamming balls on something

You can up the catch rate via custom difficult setting. Still not perfect even when maxed out. But it's better than the default value.

What level are you? the level difference between you and the pal influences the chance aswel, regardless what ball you use.

That's because you're not meant to use Giga spheres on level 27~ pals. If you want good odds, switch to a Hyper Sphere (Or Ultra Sphere, but that may be overkill)

Also, you'll find that that 4% base chance goes up after you throw the pal sphere. I believe effigy capture bonuses are captured *after* the pal sphere is thrown. It's a bit odd.

the ball are intended to help you catcha male and a female, then you breed to complete paldex. Full balls capture are too materials consuming. i'm lvl 50 and almost finished paldex but i lost tons of material coz of balls. you can miss the shot and the chance are pretty low on 40+ monsters even with a legendary ball ( wich cost tons of paldium and metal )

you can come see me on twitch tomorrow, i'm trying to get a male Jetragon with good passive, my leg balls have like 7% max chance

maybe its just a little bit lower but those are the balls that you find in the area. il try hyper just the grind to make one atm I feel like the Giga is a right ball that should be around 25-30

Are you trying to catch lv.30+ pals? Because catch rates around those levels are like 8% even with higher level balls and effigies. It's easy at lower levels. A higher difficulty setting also lowers chances of catching.

You don't need a mod to up the catch rates you can do that in the server settings before entering your world. If you're playing single player obviously. Modding anything that isn't purely client side in multiplayer is cheating.

You don't need a mod.. there is a game setting that you can increase the chance by up to 3x I think.. I actually put mine up to 1.5x so.. yea.. play how you want.

I use Hyper Sphere (3rd best, lvl 27 requirement) for anything 30 and below maybe up to 33-35 sometimes. I use Legendary Sphere (best, lvl 44 requirement) for anything higher.
2nd highest use Refined Ingots which are hard to make so I skip it completely.

You need to use better balls for better catch rates.

feels good when your using ultra spheres on lvl 30 mobs and they insta break out with 1% hp over and over and over and over... even with full effigy upgrade. such a waste of resources
