Is Palworld's coop good / worth it?
I was talking to a friend asking him to do a coop but he won't be able to buy the game before 6weeks or sum (or maybe even more). I was wondering what's the coop worth should i wait for him or its a few little changes and playing alone or together is mostly the same? bc i'm really hyped it really feels like my type of game considering how much i loved like satisfactory and pokemons and this looks basically like a fusion of these.

It's pretty much the same as playing solo, just with the added joy of playing with a friend.

I've been playing coop with a friend, and 2 nights ago we were running bosses, got ambitious and went for one that was too strong for us. My buddy was down, boss was closing in on me, and I had no pals left but the lamball I had brought along to gain exp. In desperation I threw it out, and heard beeping. I had not realized lamball learned that move... so my buddy who is watching this boss chase me tom and jerry style around the room sees me throw out a sheep and I hear him say "WTF...", then the sheep detonates, doing more damage than any attack any of our other pals had done, and he about falls out of his chair laughing.

No, it didnt kill the boss. But when he could breathe again, my buddy said "best $30 I've spent in a while!"

Yes, I'd say its worth it.

If nothing else make a sp to learn the basics. Then just spend the rest of the time just exploring and not progressing very far so no spoilers other then map knowledge and where what level areas are. Otherwise juat have a sp and a mp file. I do suggest explore for base locations at least.

No reason you can't play solo now and then start again with him in 6 weeks.

As with most survival games, much better with friends along.

Buddy and I got our bases set up last night, and ran first dungeon. This weekend when both back on finish up the tutorial boss together. Despite early access jank(which a lot less than some games on launch to be sure), think is a good coop game.

One thing tho, wanna make sure in same guild if want share base features. Maybe just a server setting on our end but due to base limit and fact both made one and won’t dismantle it, think we’re kinda stuck in diff guilds until one of us upgrades our first base or w/e enough(ie, has limit allowing a second player and their first base). Not even game breaking or anything, just kinda lame when trying help out my buddy for a bit while waiting on my own build que and just says BELONGS TO ANOTHER GUILD NO!
Beyond that, we’ve had no coop specific issues.

Yup, worth and good it is really smooth without lag or tethering, you are free to move away from host as much as you like, useful when you need to collect materials to build a base

I mean the story's still the same right? Or there isn't much and its mostly survival like is it closer to a minecraft or a pokemon in term of story?

There is virtually no story. Much closer to minecraft in that sense although there is very slightly more story here. Ark is what it's probably closest to.
