Hi there,

Please publish this game on GOG, before it gets taken down, due to various accusations piling up. GOG is far better for game preservation than Steam due to DRM-Free offline installers. Once the offline installer is downloaded, nobody can take it away. Not Nintendo, not the Pokemon company, not GOG themselves.

Don't feed the psychosis of the Twitter mob. While i agree GoG would be nice after all i'm for all platforms in general to have things available. It won't have any sort of issues with Nintendo. It's just a bunch of mentally ill people making lots of things up on twitter and "issues" where no issues are. And the investigation statement is just there to tell them to stfu they know that the game exists and enjoy it themself.

They can, they have done so in the past (Agony Unrated) and their EULA also says that they can remove anything from your library at any time for any reason.

Digital stores terminate "purchased" user content all the time. Phone app stores do not even have the concept of a library, as a separate entity from the store. Once the app is removed from sale, you can no longer reinstall it. When PT was removed from the PlayStation store, people were no longer able to re download it, regardless of whether they claimed it in time or not.

Recently, Sony had a drama regarding discovery videos. They backtracked on that now, but they did it due to incredibly bad PR that generated, not because of any legal trouble.

PC gaming stores are the only ones with any semblance of user library protection, but even they are not guaranteed. The only safe space is your own hardware.

Regarding Agony, it was ADVERTISED as a bundle of censored + uncensored. With the removal of the bundle, Valve breached the advert and caused a false advertisement situation. I will NEVER forgive them for it. They pushed me straight to GOG with that stunt. Sure, GOG can remove things too, but their whole shtick is that once I download my purchase, not even they can remove it. That's why I want Palworld there too. Never trust any digital platform to maintain your games.

I'd love to buy it, and I personally know people who refue to rent out games on Steam (and in fact refuse to eeven make an accoutn here) that would buy this ads soon as it appeared on GOG

The game can be launched outside of steam even from steams version. just backup the install directory. if it gets taken down i'll bet money within a week a crack will be made to remove steam's network services.

That's plan B and also yet another reason why there's no point in avoiding GOG.

Would love to see this published on GOG. I've been waiting to get Soulash 2 on GOG (dev stated in their discord they'll published it there upon the 1.0 release) so that I'll always have the whole game executable on hand in case the ongoing drama causes the game to be taken down.
Alternatively, does anyone know if Palworld is one of those games that can be launched without the SteamAPI anyways? Quite a few games on steam on like that regardless.

The problem with GOG is devs treat it like second class. Updating properly, including proper runtimes and making sure games work on steam and then not doing the same for the GOG version of the game. Not every developer does it. But some do and I stopped buying on GOG because of it. Until GOG actually punishes people for not maintaining their games. I’m not interested in doing business with them.
