Chopping or logging site?

So I was just wondering which is better to have Pals work on. Is it better to have them chopping down trees naturally or to use the logging pit? I have noticed that chopping trees naturally also gives fiber but the logging pit only gives wood. Alternatively, mining stone gives stone, paldium fragments and sometimes ore, whereas the stone pit only gives stone.
Is one better and/or faster than the other?

On the site, rocks and trees will be faster but the time it takes for them to re-spawn is long (depend on your world setting). Logging and mining site is slower but very well passive gain, by the time you spend time on the world and com back to base, it will be a lot by then.

Paldium is best mine by yourself and especially in cave, you will get a lot in there.
Fiber will be use mostly on plant decoration so by the time you get to unlock it, you will already have mountain of logs to convert freely.

mining and logging site still better for my liking of automation because you will grind a lot more with iron and sulfur that has no site for.

Logging site is better. You can turn wood into fiber extremely efficiently using the Crusher. Pal pathing also gets stuck on trees so i cut down all the trees and place beds over them so that they dont respawn.

Just use the buildings. The small quantity of secondary resources just isn't worth consideration. You can use a crusher to get fibre and paldium from wood and stone respectively, and you'll soon enough have thousands of both. As for ore, you're going to need to specifically go for that, either manually or setting up a dedicated mining base.

as long as it does not get destroyed the buildings have unlimited resource. You might have to empty it from time to time, but if you put a chest close enough you can just drop it there. I was told pals do not hall from these building, but i have watched them do it, but i still empty from time to time as the amount of wood makes transport pals not always efficent.

I wouldn't recommend putting torches everywhere unless you never intend your pals to do any cooking or smelting ever again. Electric lamps on the other hand, work rather well.
