About Pal Sanity - my experience.

The higher a pal’s sanity % the more efficiently they find and do work in auto mode, and the longer they work when assigned.

You can feed pals cotton candy to increase their sanity and petting them also helps. I’ve noticed that pals in the breeding ground produce faster if they have both high sanity and food levels.

Some decorative items can increase the recharge rate or decrease the reduction rate of sanity.

The better the bed, the better the sanity. The recreation set of placeables helps improve sanity levels and the better Hot Spring also improves sanity more if you replace the lower tier one.

Leaving only high quality food in the feed basket also improves sanity and reduces downtime.

Low sanity can also contribute to strange actions like picking up and dropping items in bunches.

That’s my experience anyway. Not sure if all of my experience is causality or just correlative.

Interesting, I had no idea it might impact working speed and thought it was just a hard cutoff. Will have to look into the decorative items.

I make my base pretty and make sure my minions are well fed and taken care of, I have almost no problems

My friend on the other hand playing on my server doing his own thing separate from my clan only has the basic beds and only built the others when required, demolished his one and only hot spring for the 2nd one and only built one, and his feed bowl is only filled with berries and he CONSTANTLY has issues.

I might add, if a pal is wandering around and not working or the status says upset and unwilling to work or something similar, giving them a few pats on the head (or belly?) will get them motivated.

Does your sanity have anything to do with your Pals just going poof and gone forever?This has happened alot the last few days on our server.MP fyi

I think pals use food from 1 slot of your food basket. They didn't use any of food in other slots.

Do your pals use the bath when stressed? Mine rarely do

Yes. If the pal sanity is too low for too long and they don’t have a good way to improve their sanity, They will leave.

Some will and some won’t. When they start getting insane, they may have very strange behaviors. If they have bad traits they are more likely to do stupid things.

Are they gone from the list? If not they might just be trapped underground, and you just need to remove and readd them.
