How do you get Maximum Resistance to Cold and Heat?

I have forged the Cold Resistant and Heat Resistant Pal Metal Armor and yet when I go to the Frozen Mountain area in the North and even at the Frozen Mountain Top in the Northeast area of the forest when it gets to Nighttime my character takes damage from the Cold.

Apparently I do NOT have enough resistance to avoid this and I take a lot damage over time and I cannot stay there any longer and must retreat.

Likewise when I got to the Volcano and if I'm hovering over the Lava Pits the heat from the lava increase the heat gain that I catch on fire and take damage over time.

The first time that happened to my I was looking at the map and trying to find a certain Pal that my character just died and I didn't know why at the time.

I don't see any stronger Armor to resistance either temperature at the max and even with the Undershirt Accessories to increase resistance it's so little it doesn't seem to help.

Do I need to find a Scroll that is Legendary that is better than what you get from the Technical Tree or do I have to find better Accessory? Kinda getting tired that my exploration is put to a halt, but I don't have enough resistance when I have the highest resistance I can forge.

I've seen a video on YouTube that a person had max resistance to cold and I can't remember which one it was. I know it's possible, but I don't know what gear I need.

I was in the dunes and stopped taking heat damage when I got on my Chilet mount. Then was when I learned how to use my own attacks while mounted. Palworld really does not hold your hand. There are so many hidden mechanics in the game.

The steam thing in the volcano seems too janky to be intended.
There's literally dungeons surrounded by the stuff. Some dungeons spawn you INTO the lava when you've completed it.

Best heat/cold armor + best heat/cold shirts you can find and wear 2 of them.

I am ok with lava air (heat stroke) but it needs tone down with damage - I'm taking 110 direct above any lava pool high in air (height enough to fall to death 1 drop) with 2 heat lv1 shirts and uncommon heat metal armor

well, naturally following suit to the rest of the game- the only ways to counteract the harshest temperatures are completely unintuitive. your options are:


• SOME heat / cold Pals, not all of them for some reason lmao

• buying the thermal undershirts from a merchant that you'll likely never find BEFORE you need them. it's pretty likely that the vast majority of everyone only finds and buys these via google.

• some specific upgrade blueprints for armors (again, not all of them for some reason) will increase the thermal resistance. these drops are entirely random and will likely have to be grinded for in a cripplingly boring manner.

I got max heat resist by using metal heat armor, the heat resistant hat, two heat resisting undershirts. Though it does make you more vulnerable to the cold so don't go into an icy place with that on.

Kitsun is the best Pal for this, actually. Riding Kitsun lets you be completely immune to heat or cold.
