How do you get Maximum Resistance to Cold and Heat?

I have forged the Cold Resistant and Heat Resistant Pal Metal Armor and yet when I go to the Frozen Mountain area in the North and even at the Frozen Mountain Top in the Northeast area of the forest when it gets to Nighttime my character takes damage from the Cold.

Apparently I do NOT have enough resistance to avoid this and I take a lot damage over time and I cannot stay there any longer and must retreat.

Likewise when I got to the Volcano and if I'm hovering over the Lava Pits the heat from the lava increase the heat gain that I catch on fire and take damage over time.

The first time that happened to my I was looking at the map and trying to find a certain Pal that my character just died and I didn't know why at the time.

I don't see any stronger Armor to resistance either temperature at the max and even with the Undershirt Accessories to increase resistance it's so little it doesn't seem to help.

Do I need to find a Scroll that is Legendary that is better than what you get from the Technical Tree or do I have to find better Accessory? Kinda getting tired that my exploration is put to a halt, but I don't have enough resistance when I have the highest resistance I can forge.

I've seen a video on YouTube that a person had max resistance to cold and I can't remember which one it was. I know it's possible, but I don't know what gear I need.

there are accessories that can boost heat and cold resistance, you can either get them as loot from doing cave bosses or bosses in general, or if you get yourself some heat resistance there is a settlement in a desert biome that has a trader that sells both the accesories.

there may be more places or traders but i cannot remember them or have found them myself.

Heat/Cold undies and Matching armor gets me on top of the coldest mountain.

some merchants sell schematics to craft accessory that give +1 to heat or cold, you can also find higher tier version in high level dungeons chests that give +2 or even +3 heat and cold.

Some Pals also give resistance to temperatures as their special ability. I remember finding one, but I don't remember which it was and whether it protects against heat or cold :/

Arsox is one that gives heat resistance that i know of

It's not a perfect solution but Kitsun has a partner skill that lets you ignore hot and cold while mounted.

It's weird that you have a higher tier of armor than me but took damage in the volcano. I went through there yesterday wearing the Heat Resistant Metal armor and had no problems.

I noticed while playing earlier you get blueprints you can use to craft higher level versions of stuff you get in the unlock tree. So far I've found only green items.

Theres a merchant at the shores of the volcano region that sells heat proof clothes and accessory. You'll find the fishing village alongside the coast

I was afflicted with Burn when I was OVER the Lava Pit, not on it, as I was too close to it even when I was flying in the air.

As long as I avoid flying over Lava Pits, I'm fine with Heat Resistance Armor on in those places.

It's really the Cold one that's the biggest hassle.

And I will be sure to check out those Settlements and find that Merchant. How much is the Accessory usually? I've found a lot of boxes and fought Thugs to have 60k Gold so far.

And I'll keep in mind with Kitsun. I believe I caught that one yesterday to fill up my Paldeck.

Well I just burned to death by literally burning. Not because I had to less heat ressisance but somehow i jsut startet to burn and honestly doent really get why or how to stop it. And its def an area you are supposed to be in. Not like I reached death zone of map

EDIT Oh and I was flying so even more irritated. Touching magma would have been a possibility but I wasnt touching it so yeah.

Apparently the "steam" of the lava is too hot for the Player that they caught on fire. From what I gather even though there's no steam.

Kinda ridiculous.

Also, how DO you put out the fire when your body catches it? Drop and roll doesn't do anything and not being able to heal and cure aliments on yourself is kinda stupid. I hope they add that in, because this is a tad unfair.

If you have water you can Put IT Out. Maybe even an PAL which can spit water in you in the Game? Heal lyleen or patalia can maybe counter IT. But ok Steam ist sth i didnt imagined which still.would make IT a tad unfair Like you Said cause there are boxes in IT.

If you check the stats and the temperature gauge, you'll see it's broken down into 3 sections and armor gives 2 protection. The highest mountains at night lower your cold to the 3rd section so you need the underwear for +1 protection. 2+1 = 3. Cold armor + undies = immune.

its really weird, on my first playthrough i explored the whole volcano with 1 heatbar not evven filled. now the game says "i'm capped" with extra underwear, but i take sometimes dmg while flying over pits. im sure i didnt took dmg 2 days ago, both during daytime.

Fire pals will raise your temperature in cold environments and ice pals will lower your temperature in hot environments. You can get around using some temperature gear by having the right pal alongside you. There's also the armor from technology and accessories from dungeon boss chests.
