Jolthog is just permanently out

I'm not 100% sure what triggered this, but my jolthog is just out permanently. i can summon other pals along side her. I went into the penking boss arena, caught it, then went back in immediately and it wasnt there. I was holding jolthog to use it's special, but then left the arena while still holding her. later i see her out while riding my deer. i can swap between any other pals. I tried to replicate this with foxpark, but it gets recalled as normal when i leave the arena.

Did you craft the item that lets you have the jolthog attack with you? If so, this is working as intended.

What? AFAIK the item for jolthog just lets you use him as an electric grenade. it doesnt say anything about having him out like Daedreams or Dazzi. I recalled her and it returned to working as normal
