dedicated server password/name not working?

i made a server the other day but the options within my server wont impliment, and also the name and password for the server does not work, but so far my friends can join thru the ip, is there somthing wrong? with the dedicated servers atm?

Verify you're altering the PalWorldSettings.ini inside of the installation folder's subfolder called "Pal" on linux its "~/install/path/Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/PalWorldSettings.ini" If you have altered "DefaultPalWorldSettings.ini" You basically modified/destroyed the default backup config for referencing.

i see thanks for letting me know i did use the default one, ill have to find the palworld settings.ini on my windows version.

i found it added the info from my defaultpalworldsettings.ini, and nothing worked, ima try to figure this out

Verify the syntax wasn't broken, and that quotes are not broken (using a quote inside of a quote will break the ending quote on lines that require it)

The file from what I can tell online would be in the server install folder "Pal\Saved\Config\WindowsServer\PalWorldSettings.ini" there are a few settings from what I can tell that do not take affect, you'll know if its working if the passsword/description/name work.

i was able to get it to work but now i cannot join my server anymore, i have it set up with a password all my friends can join but i cannot anymore its weird but im glad its working this way will have to figure out why i cannot join anymore

If external network connections can connect, but you cannot connect when they are connected. You can try doing a few things such as using the LAN address of your system that is hosting via direct connect, or you can try using your public address and port that you gave to them.

yeah i was using my lan address for myself and brother but now im having issues joining, i was able to get in once but dont remember which ip i used. but i know it can work since i managed to just join once time thank you for you help in this Sora i really appreciate it im not pc savvy

it is the lan ip that will let me try to connect but as a community and or dedicated server i cant seem to rejoin but that one time i keep timing out
