tired / sad looking pals in trailer and videos

(i am playing on default normal settings if that matters)
so iv been watching others play this game on and off as i slowly build up my base and slowly get stronger and iv noticed some pals in the trailer and YT videos online are tired or sad looking. is there a key cause? iv got a base with 12 pals all working and apart from a few work place injury's or minor injury's after a FPA raid every ingame week or so non of my pals are showing any signs of being upset or sad yet?
is there a deeper cause so that if it does happen it can be treated or avoided in the future?

you can overwork them with the order stand and if their sanity drop a lot ( not sleeping enough , not enough food , brutal working for a long time etc ) they might look sad

ohhh okay iv just been letting them work and take breaks when ever cause they keep the base running smoothly as is i must have missed that order stand in the tech tree or did not see the point of it and wanted to save my tech points
