Why are adults friending kids on this game?

Should I be worried who my son is talking to on this game? I noticed a lot of neck beards playing.

The Internet already existed long before Palworld. If you're asking if this game specifically draws in adults who are using the in game chat system to specifically try and talk to kids. The answer is absolutely not.

I know everyone on my kids friends lists.
They know the rules.
They can play with people they know or ask if it's ok to add someone.
someone says something weird, they tell us.
we don't need to police them 24/7 because they have learned that trust = freedom.

and in all fairness, most of the crap that we don't want them to see comes from other kids.
I have seen things that way that made me want to burn out my eyes with a flaming hot poker and rinse the empty sockets with super bleach.

You know there are adults in EVERY online game right? Your kid is probably talking to a lot of adults. Hell... I was hanging out with 30 year olds in WOW when I was like... 10. Most people are chill. Just teach them not to send naked pics and not to get in random dudes cars and they should be fine. Anything they'll hear people say is nothing worse than they'll see on any other part of the internet.

I've led large guilds in MMOs and we always had a few 12 - 15 year old "Squeakers" as we called them.
"don't be weird and let me know if anyone is weird to you" was the general rule.
