The big draw of BotW (and TotK) is exploration. You have this massive world and a handful of tools, go off in whatever direction you like and you'll find something interesting that you might want to do. You have an objective, technically, that you can go do at any time, and everything else after the tutorial is a collection of side objectives that you aren't required to do.
If you aren't the type to enjoy complete explorative freedom, then the entire survival crafting genre is also not for you.
For one, Palworld lets you repair your stuff instead of it just breaking and vanishing.
