Capturing NPC with Pal Sphere a bug or feature?
I think by now we all know that we can catch human NPC with pal sphere... but I cant help but to wonder if this is a bug or intended feature? considering the NPC glitched out when you send them out, i assume this is a glitch.

it's an intended feature

I doubt any human would come back out of one of those things completely intact

You can pet a human if you want

Pokemon made up a genetic marker or something as to why Pokeballs work only on Pokemon but it seems these spheres either shrink and enlarge or teleport to a pocket dimension.

Likely an oversight. You can talk to captured merchants and they don't even stop walking away, yet you can buy stuff from them. (And you can easily exploit that as their inventory refreshes whenever you summon them. Capture a black market trader, and you've got an infinite source of rare pals to buy, as long as you have money.)

If it wasn't intended, or an oversight, why would humans have an icon after being captured? Granted it's just a generic human bust with a hood on, BUT they still have an icon. Just saying...

It's an intended feature. "Crime" is a mechanic in this game. If you assault the non-hostile npcs, like merchants, a bounty is put on you that makes the police hostile to you until you die. You can also get this crime flag if you swim out to one of the wildlife sanctuaries and the police find you there.

Intended feature, the game even has flavor text on the right for when you capture a human.

Capturing enemy humans was intended. Capturing NPCs who still talk like they're at their original position? Oversight.

Obviously it's intended since there is a pop up telling you that it's unethical when you capture them.

I hope a feature just like boss capture. Tho I want Zoe without her Pet. Every rancher needs a wife after all.

Are you sure? Because there must be a reason why they have visible levels. If you weren't intended to be able to attack them, and possibly capture them, why would you need to know their levels? Also, why would capturing them summon police? Seems like it's intended to me.

Levels and such are there for fighting them.
NPCs respawn even if you capture them. You can have multiple copies of that one guy who gives you free pizza. Can't tell me that this isn't an oversight.

Seems to be a feature because, if you look at the captured NPCs, they have flavor text for their partner skills. That tells me that this was intentional, probably for meme potential, because there's a bunch of jokes and memes in pokemon fandom about catching humans and them acting like pokemon.

Do you think capturing multiple of the same boss is an oversight? I don't really see a difference.
