Ore farming
Is there a way to passively farm ores ? Because I haven't seen one really, only thing I can think of is setting up a camp in a zone with a lot of nodes and maybe hope that pals farm it.

It's blocking me so hard right now, I have no stock at all and basically need it everywhere (especially in sphere, blue and green ones aren't effective anymore and red cost 3 ores per sphere).

Also don't know why they're so heavy, invested a lot in weight and I still can only take 2 full nodes on me. Have they spoken about it?

Yes, have miner pals mining around ores instead of normal rocks. Ive seen people finding up to 6-8 ore nodes next to each others where the pals can just keep mining them as they respawn back. I havent played so far, barely hit the metal section because I go slowly before I get the game on Steam. Rn I am just waiting what Nintendo does about the game because they are looking into it according to their website.

yeah just put up a base on nodes and show up when you need ore, me and my buddy have a base on 7 or 8 nodes and we just show up when we need ore en'mass.

You can make an extra base in the middle or an ore field, but they wont farm if theyre not rendered. Best you can do is afk at the ore base and let them build up a stock
only way is by hand or with a lvl 2 mining pal in your team or have nodes in a base radius with a pal that has lvl 2 mining skill.
but yeah the weights an issue as well as the ore to ingot ratio,i threw the increased weight mod on my game cos it was doing my head in.

Do Pals keep working when you're not at the base ? I feel like my Pals dont work on my ore base if I'm not here

some players use the tortoise Pal for better and quick ore mining

On single player no they don't the base gets unrenderd.
its only on a server the base stays rendered and they keep mining.
it's quite stupid tbh.

At least it's nice to know that there's a solution, but yeah the weight and how much you can get per nodes is just wrong, I just came from playing once human beta and I think I got to use to how fair the ore farming was in this game, here you don't get more as your gear go up yet they're still asking more and more of it.
Feels kinda bad.

But i'll look into a base camp farm for it, it should at least ease my experience a bit.

Thanks ! I agree it's kinda stupid and weird because it feels like Pals are finishing crafts even if I'm not here but they wont harvest... meh time to afk 3 days in my ore farm I guess

Place the 2nd camp where the ore is. There are plenty of them on the map next to the church, unless the coordinates change

The most suitable starting base would be located with at least 1 ore node in it but it is fine without it, the issue with putting ore in main base is that it takes space and you also want a big flat area for your main base although building a ore location and blocking off the ore as you progress and need to use the space for your other things would be optimally.

2nd and 3rd base should both be in areas with 6-8 ore nodes because you need that much ore in order to not have to wait for it.

You should teleport to and from the bases now and then because they stop working if you don't visit the base for too long.

One of the benefit of putting up too much production of ore is that later on when you have a stockpile of 10k+ excess ore you could relocate one of the ore bases to do something else.

Coal and sulfur bases are not needed, still need quite a bit of coal but very little compared to ore (you need 100k+ ore).

You can teleport while overloaded, so put a chest next to palbox and teleport resources between bases.

Only level 2 mining pals can mine ore.
