Breeding and Passing Traits
trying to get some pretty powerful pals!
Got one with 3 gold perks I want and a regular one i dont, got another of the same kind with Lucky, offspring only ever seem to get 2 Gold Perks and then sometimes a bunch of other random ones not from the parents, how does passing traits work exactly?

damn, so the parents have no baring on what the offspring get?

I don't think they even have bearing on what the offspring looks like, much less traits.

Both wrong.
Same parents will always produce same type of offspring.
And traits and moves are inherited from parents, though with chance of random ones being added to the mix.

Usually takes about 16 eggs for me to pass the exact trait I want, unless breeding two of same species which makes traits pass easier.

The parents traits have a higher chance of passing down, they arent guaranteed,
So if you have a male with 2 golden stats and a female with 2 other golden stats your offspring has a chance to get 1-4 golden stats, and whatever golden stats dont get passed down are replaced with rng filler traits.

Oh, and having parents with only a few traits actually makes it easier. Let's say one only has the `Lucky` trait - that makes the trait pool much smaller, and much more likely to pass that one as compared to two parents with four traits each.

I would say aim for breeding pals with 2 golden traits. Seems the most efficient way tbh.

Does anyone know if passives unique to the field bosses. If they can be given to different species with crossbreeding? I'd love get the Legend passive on my favourite mount type Pal. But I don't even know if that's possible.

I have bred my frostallion (legendary pony) 3 times. First 2 times it did not pass on its Legend passive (20% attack, 20% def, 15% movement) but the 3rd time it did. It also passed on its Ice Emperor passive (20% increase to ice attack damage).
