Same Engine As Craftopia?
I see Pocketpair released a "early access" game called craftopia that has the same feature set we see here. Also that game is still in early access which was released 3 years ago.

Besides Nintendo maybe suing, I wonder if this game will every be "complete" and no longer a early access game.

Craftopia is on a different game engine Unity, Palworld is on unreal, Nintendo cant do anything to the game.

Real bored huh? Is your "fave" game not scratching that itch for ya anymore?

Yeah if you go by their past projects, there's not much hope for this game. My hope is that a different developer will see the success and do their own better version of it, maybe a little more adult with less cutesy looking monsters. Kind of like how vampire survivors spawned a ton of copycat games.

Craftopia is made by a different team and these games are on two different engines. Both games have a roadmap and plan updates. on a side note there are 100's of games that have been in early access for more then 10 years and still actively updated. so i don't see any problems between the two

it will be complete in the sense that they will probably try to keep selling it as a franchise.

I watched the trailer for craftopia and would love to see some of those weapons and animations put into palworld.

Craftopia, from what I understand (having not played the game but talking to IRL people who have), is a separate team of people from the same company on different engine (Unity vs Unreal) who are still working on the game and even released a major update prior to Palworld's release. I think the concern is valid considering there is an even prior game this company released that is also still early access, but I think the success of Palworld is enough to drive this company forward to working/finishing this game and, worst case scenario, even if it does become abandoned early access trash, it has still provided plenty of entertainment in a short amount of time and shown that there is a market for this kind of game for another developer to pick up and expand upon. It's a win win for the consumer either way.

Why is there n hope? Craftopia is continuing to see updates and support, you people talk like it hasn't been touched in decade or some ♥♥♥♥ smh

If you haven't heard the news around Pocket Pair their company didn't have enough money to continue developing Craftopia and Pal World at the same time and with Pal World receiving more attention they decided to do a hail mary and put most their dev team into Pal World. I think the current sales numbers showed that it paid off and they might actually come back to it but thats just speculation on my part. I hope it does happen since I own Craftopia

It's fairly likely it will, craftopia was getting updates just last year after all

As others likely said, this is on Unreal engine.

Impressive how such a low budget company was able to completely switch engines like that. I'm impressed.

Manwhile at Bethesda: "Let's just shove some new lighting effects into Gamebryo and call it Creation Engine 2 Turbo Alpha Overdrive Remix!"

They have also never sold multiple millions of copies to keep development rolling. Could be different compared to Craftopia. Money and popularity talk.
