PALWORLD WAS MADE BY AMATUERS AND OUTSOLD LEGENDS ARCEUS IN 1ST WEEK SALES.

If somehow Palworld gets taken down and Game Freak releases gen 10 pokemon that looks worse than sword/shield and plays the exact same as every mainline game has for the last 20 years, it'll be proof that we cannot have nice things.

I really don't think they have a leg to stand on regarding this. There are indeed similarities. However, they're different enough that I don't think they'd fall under plagiarism.

Well, from what I saw it isn't that it is a copycat, it is more about a model issue from what other developers were stating.

Apparently, they used identical models that would be impossible to copy as many times as is happening in this game. I don't know the full story or about it but there was an article discussing it.

EDIT: I just want people to know - I think its fine with how many other ripoffs exists, I just rather have a game that is as enjoyable as this in the pokemon setting that isn't just straight up family friendly. So hope this goes no wear and the game is fine.

People aren't dumb enough to fall for this right? They are telling you what you want to hear. Palworld has been known about, broadcast and teased since 2021. It's only because of its success that the big corporations are like "This cannot stand!" when the game already passed all the legal reviews to be released in the first place lol.

nintendo will lose every lawsuite they try to file, and the eventual end result will be them hiring a brand new team to actually revamp pokemon for the next generation. or they will just outright buy the palworld studio and make them make the next generation.

thats fine, they can sue in japan, it would be a local lawsuit, not a global one, everywhere else has fair use.
