Logging into Dedicated Server and it ask me to create a new character?

I played earlier today and logged out of my account like normal. When I went to log back in its asking me to create a new character suddenly. I checked the player saves and the same amount of accounts are listed? Can't figure out whats going on.

Characters are currently bound to the world/server they're made in. I think they're planning on doing something about it, as it says in their roadmap.
