Digtoise is bugged?

I've added digtoise to my base and he doesn't do anything, like anything at all.
Yeah I do have a mining spot

Yeah I have an issue where he has everything, spa, food, comfy bed and no negative traits yet it almost does no work ever. But if I have it in my working slot and toss him/her/it onto a ore node it goes crazy.

I've tried tossing him to the mining thing and he didn't do anything

When you throw him at the mining spot, what happens? Does it give you the red "no task in range" message? If so that's a bug with the mining spot, not the pal. No idea about online, but in solo play exiting to main menu then loading back in fixes it.

it took a while to figure out the problem for mines not working. Turns out they eat a lot. You'll need more than just raw berries to keep them working. At least 50 nutrition to just get them to work. You'll probably need more than 50 though, to keep them constantly working. but eventually they start spin drilling after i gave them the bread berry jam and mushroom soup

But it's a newly caught pal, they normally start off with everything 100% so he would need to work a little bit before he needs to eat something

My digtoise are only doing 1 damage. Left a whole day, came back, and there was only 1 ore collected. Anyone came across that issue? Haha

Its just a bug, thats why this is in early access. They have a section for bug reports on their discord.

They normally do 1 damage until you put them inside your party. They're not that great on your base, but are decent to bring along for extracting resources for yourself. You're better off using Reptyro to both Mine and Refine inside your base.

I don't think the 1 damage is "normal" because every other mining pal does normal damage. So my guess is that it is a side effect of having the helmet to unlock it's mining potential with the player.

Since that is a player item and not related to the base/pal box related, when the Digtois is active in the base the helmet is not present to unlock standard mining. Resulting in the unusually slow mining when assigned to the base.

I'd like to think that's not working as intended but if it is or until it is resolved, Digtois really only works effectively in the active player party.
