Progress/ Data erase

So i tried loading up the game this morning on my own server, it started with me making a new character. Also the people that were in the server also had the character and progress erased.

Don't get me wrong but i love this game. i wouldn't mind grinding it back but... i don't know if i can handle another data erase

lol. my brain worms have made me delete my save like 6 times already. every time I launch the game I don't know whether I'll get to continue my last save or whether I'll have to start anew.

You mentioned it's your own server, there should be backup folders that hold the player and world saves.
