Afaik the only way is to build a container closer to where they're getting the eggs and wheat from. They'll start placing the stuff in there instead of the feed box.
I don't think you can, as I don't think there are storage filters yet. However, I hope I'm wrong.
Kinda wish wheat was not actually a food item so this wouldn't happen.

Atm its the way of Transport for Food.
But u can select in which foodbox which food goes.
Split one Food until all Slots are full and the Pals select a other Foodbox to put Things in.

Same for Wood or Stone for example.

You don't and it doesn't really matter since food will expire. Either you're going to be there in time to use it or it will maybe get eaten. All you can really do is load the feedbox up with cooked food so there isn't room.

Fill all the slots in your feed box with what you want in it, and then they can't put the eggs or wheat in it because there is no free slot in the feed box

Despite my wheat farm being 100 ft away and my ice box right next to the damn thing my pals will still put wheat in the food bin...

i think they're just sick of berry s. I compromise by splinting the berry stack repentantly until the bin is full and they're forced to put food somewhere els.

I went as far as putting a storage and cooler boxes into the ranch and they still go for the feed box lol.
I just have the feed box close to it so any time i wander through base I do it myself as i run by.

The Pals only eat what is in the leftmost slot. Make sure Berries are in it and the other food will remain until it decays. Two Berry Plots will guarantee the berries will never run out.

Going to assume it's one of the things they're going to work on. I just make sure the leftmost space of the feed box is what I want them to eat and gather up everything else when I have the time.

My solution was to get some cotton candy or basically a food item that doesn't expire that can still be placed in feeder (I use honey so I ruled that out). Then place 1 into each slot with berries being in the far left. Less maintenance than having to upkeep an expiring item in each slot.

nice
i will try with the honey
and i think you can use the cooler box for ingredients, but i think also the other boxes should work, bc the filter says they can all have ingredients, but will the pals use a regular box?
i will try, as i don't want a 2nd cooler and it is by the farm, far from the plots
it seems like a kind of bug really, that pals can't figure out, ingredients -> nearest box

oh, and you can just deselect the checkbox on the feedbox for ingredients, but they leave it on the field, frustrating

The person you're necro-replying to stopped playing the game a year ago.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
