People say breeding is random but...

I've found it pretty consistent whether it be 2 of the same animal or random pals the outcome will always be the same animal . For instance I decided to breed Anubis and Mau and every time the outcome is a Galeclaw , why a jackal and a cat =a bird I have no idea but the result is consistent at least

Breeding is NOT random. Someone data mined it and its based on hidden numbers but essentially any pair will always make the same thing

There is no randomness in breeding. Anyone telling you breeding is random has no idea what they're talking about.

Which is Male/Female doesn't matter, just the specific pal combination.

There's certainly a learning curve and the fact we don't have a full list of "what leads to what" it's certainly random. Look, Incineram and Robinquill may consistently produce Chillet, but you can't tell me that getting an ice dragon serpent from a Goatman and non-human archer thing isn't random.

I was working on one myself, asked around for breeding pairs people have found and then came across this one. Saved me a lot of time

Not random in the sense that you get different pals from every breeding with same parents, but random because you have absolutely no clue what the offspring is going to be (unless breeding same species — or unless you look it up.)

Even Dragon Quest Monsters, with its erratic breeding, had some logic to it that you could grasp after a while.

Google "Kimpton's Palworld Breeding Guide" with the quotes

It's a website that's easier to navigate than the spreadsheet. Just select the Pals you have or want & it'll show you what's needed

I didn't know there was a list when I was typing my comment and you posted yours before I posted mine. And once again, just because pal A mating with Pal B ends up making Pal C is consistent, that doesn't mean it's not "random" with some of the products because you wouldn't expect them to make that.

And passives seem totally random in the offspring, That needs to be fixed. Like I have two parents both with pyromaniac and hydromaniac or whatever teh water one is. The offspring? Zen mind, the other one is a bottomless pit, etc nothing gets passed on it's just random passive skill wise.

The passives are influenced by the parents but its not guaranteed.

Well this is a huge let down.
I just unlocked breeding but can't find honey.
I was excited to breed pals with the best passive traits.
Not just a dumb way to get all new types of palmon.

Breeding 2 of the same pal will result in the that pal being born with a high chance of the parents traits being added. I have already bred lucky pals with great stats. You can get honey from beegarde and cinnamoths
