Keybinds were extremely limiting in my opinion.
I have a mouse with 12 side buttons, and I use the 12 key bottom right (- key technically) to dodge since it's the easiest to press, but that one or the 11th key weren't allowed.
I also don't like the weapon mouse scroll. I like having one button for each weapon, so I can quickly switch to the one I want, without accidentally selecting the wrong one. I even tried getting rid of one item to have 3 instead of 4 weapons selected, but then he just uses his fists.
Same thing with selecting pals, I don't like the scroll option to select them. I wanted each button to be dedicated to a different pal.
Just my preferences.
On controller, RB throws a Pal device to catch. But in a lot of games I've played recently, RB also brings up context menus and other things.
That muscle memory is a bear.

Not as funny as being used to controller B doing things. I hit B at the campfire to do something out of habit, and my guy rolls into the campfire and sets himself ablaze.
"Fire indeed hot."

ARK uses the Q key to unequip a weapon. Some of us have done that thousands of times (like me). I'm seldom pressing Q now, but still occasionally.
