Hey, I am running this bat command, but rcon isn't working. I also don't see my server in the community server list. I can join fine by IP though.

Any help would be highly appreciated!

Are all the - correct?

Ofcourse I censored all personal information with "x" :)

cd /d "%~dp0"

start PalServer.exe -ServerName="x" -ServerPassword="x" -port=8211 -RCONEnabled=True -RCONPort=25575 -AdminPassword="x" -players=32 -log -nosteam -PublicIP="x" useperfthreads -NoAsyncLoadingThread -UseMultithreadForDS EpicApp=Palserver

What does -nosteam do btw?

Hi, I try to migrate my hosting to another, it actually worked. But now some of my friends name didn't appear (blank), both in the guild and in the map. Do you know what I fail to modify or copy?

I only copy and change the GameUserSettings.ini to match my saved world "name", copy the players "list", Level.sav and LevelMeta.sav.

Or in tldr, you can watch this vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSTI8QGikIk

Anything else I missed?

I am having issues with the server auto saving and kicking everybody off. Everybody can log right back in, but the auto save is causing some sort of network issue. I am coming in on the local network, so I am not kicked, but anybody coming in from outside the local network gets kicked. Any ideas?

I copied the example config contents to ".../Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/PalWorldSettings.ini" and made changes to name, playercount, etc but upon server restart none are applied. Am I missing a step or file location?

Location is correct: Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/PalWorldSettings.ini

Could be a typo error? Copy the default settings from DefaultPalWorldSettings.ini and paste them into PalWorldSettings.ini. Make sure it is exactly the same and change only the server name to test it again.

For anyone that comes across this in the future the issue was having the server running while I made the configuration changes. When I went to restart the server it would overwrite my file with a blank version.

Stopping the server, THEN making the changes followed by a restart made them stick.

Did you open the steam query port in your firewall? 27015 is for the server list port.

Nope look up a guide on how to use steamcmd

Ok. I am not an internet dummy. I was an admin and systems analyst for 20+years. First, the answer to question I posed is not nope. The guide specifically tells you to make another secure steam account to make a dedicated server. Second, not only do you have to have another account, you are required to purchase a second copy on that account. Using steamcmd is useless since it returns app dump everytime, even when running as admin.

Actually the answer is 'nope.' You don't need a second account. SteamCMD *might* request login credentials, in which case you just use your steam account. It only uses it to download the game, and it usually permits you to login as 'anonymous' after the first time. You don't need a steam account (nor steamcmd) to have the server running.

Also idk what app dump error you're getting. Maybe google it?

Hi in order to increase the spawn rate of trees rocks and such should I increase the value of the CollectionObjectRespawnSpeedRate setting or decrease it? (Default is 1.000000)

does anyone know what this error means UlpNetDriver::Tickdispatch: Socket->REcvfrom: 24 (se_enetreset) from 172.**.***.*:8211 I'm trying to set up a server and can connect to it with my internal IP but not my public one on the same device that the server is hosted on

You would want to increase.
1 means its 1x the speed, so 2 would make it 2x the speed etc.

Youd want to use your public IP. you can google "Whatismyip" and itll give you that public, then add the :8211 at the end. Hopefully that helps!

Note from someone using dedicated server from PingPerfect, since Early Access release. There does seem to be a fairly serious memory leak issue, which has caused PP to restart our server a few times due to going way beyond the allotted resources. PP's default settings is 7Gb for an 8-slot server, SSD storage, and above average CPU. I've had warning memory usage and even CPU usage. I've moved to restarting the server every four hours to trying to refresh things and it helps to a point. There is only five of us playing on the server, ranging from late 20s to just around 40 levels with two bases (big base and mining one). I have raids disabled due to how imbalanced they seem and looking at disabling bEnableNonLoginPenalty as well to see if it helps.

I am curious how dedicated server players are faring after the first full week, if folks are seeing memory and even CPU usage issues on other providers.
