Better way to get high quality pal oil instead of killing pals?

I mean, you could always just catch the Pals instead of deleting them, if the idea of killing them grinds your gears

loads of merchants sell them, just travel around and explore, you can make alot of cash selling things like useless blueprints and gems from killing rare or high-class Pals to them aswell.

Salads sell for a decent fee to merchants aswell. I captured a bunch of them from the open world and just do my vendoring inside my bases.
