Dedicated Server question
Do dedicated servers just kinda suck right now? Been running one for a bit and the jitter/rubberbanding is pretty uncomfortable and Pals seem pretty inconsistent with their productivity versus the singleplayer/co-op version. Wondering if it's a host issue and I should look into a different one or if dedicated servers just aren't the move until an update?

We used a really bad dedicated server company at first that didnt even give 3 gb of RAM (friend buying it was dumb lol). Found a new provider and no issues after that.

The server requires a lot of computing and memory power. Palworld is still in development so there will be more issues to come but we have good communication to solve everything.

Shockbyte does servers for this game, has been running good for me and my wife.

That being said there does seem to be an issue with the server software that results in a memory leak. This seems to scale with amount of players on server.
So, no matter what server host your using you really need to restart the server often for now.

Yea, dedicated server is a beast that eats RAM right now, it also has several major issues with what looks like unloading chunks and password verification. It needs a lot of work before its close to a production environment.

The game had a memory leak at launch, I hosted with Game Host Bros and had a smooth experience by scheduling a daily restart. It didn't really crash because the ram was sufficient to last till the next restart.

Ive hosted our gameplays and have had no problems what so ever. Some fps drop in endgame when bases are large and have a lot of pals running and working, but that is it. No memory leaks or anything.
Dont know what the problem is with server hosting, for one the pals just eat their food and die away is something ive heard on top of the hacker issues and what not.
Just dont get a server :D
